Thanks vmancer.. just received it.
FYI: reports confirmed by Easeus in their forum state that an existing backup plan for a partition is rendered useless once that partition has been restored. I’ve not verified this myself, but it seems that restored partitions are not identical to the original.
Also encountered a number of error messages which are obscure, unclear, or simply confusing and unhelpful for very simply produced cases where users need a clear simple statement. I’ve reported some of these.
Because the path to an external drive used to store the backup image is fixed in the ‘backup plan’, this means any subsequent use of that plan (incremental or differential backup e.g.) requires the drive to be allocated the same drive letter. (Or the user must edit the backup plan). I use 3rd party software to help here.

Thanks Vmancer.. Easeus ToDo 4.5 is a definite improvement on v4 (GUI).. the free version’s good, I’d love the workstation version..

I’m currently using built-in Windows backup, and haven’t got the chance to use any third party backup software before, so I would be very happy to grab a free license. EaseUS would be enough, although Acronis or Norton Ghost is the best when it comes to imaging, data backup and restore program.
