Master installer of this software is 60 MB, small enough to be kind of software. Includes word processing software (TextMaker), spreadsheet (PlanMaker), to create slide presentation (SoftMaker Presentations), and text processing standard (BasicMaker).

Document format .doc (Microsoft Office Word 97 format – 2003) and .xls (Microsoft Office Excel 97 format – 2003) open properly. it’s just not support the latest Microsoft Office formats (.docx, .xlsx, etc).

Interesting things that I found, you can create a portable version of SoftMaker Office 2008 by your self.
