Synchronize GMail contacts with BlackBerry address book
Previous I wrote article Change the email footer on your Blackberry, which contains a tutorial to change the footer emails sent through BlackBerry devices. Now I am discuss about how to synchronize your GMail contacts with BlackBerry address book. This can serve as backup contacts list because both will be synchronized together.
The first step, please go to Email Account Management menu on your BlackBerry device (picture 1). As information, this I have done on your BlackBerry Curve 9300 with 3G OS 6.
If the email software on your Blackberry is not up to date, then you will be asked to confirm to the upgrade process. You only need to answer OK and then the process runs automatically. After that you’ll see a menu that looks like the picture number 2.
Then go to Synchronization Options. Choose whatever items you want synchronized such as contacts, calender, etc. Save the settings changed and then start the synchronization process.
As a note, not all the existing email contacts in GMail will be synchronized, only the contacts that you create. Contacts stored automatically are excluded.
If you are interested to using Facebook to synchronize your smartphone contacts, please read the article: Facebook Sync Contacts: goodness and the danger posed.
