By making changes to your rental property that will help with energy efficiency, you can help your property reduce its own carbon footprint while also helping your tenants save money on their monthly bills. But because these appliances and other updates often don’t come cheap, you can pass the price onto your tenants by charging a higher monthly rent to help you offset the costs while also helping both parties save money in the long run.
